What you are buying, in plain words.

1. What a purchase is

You are buying a finished deliverable — a document, a digest, or software — produced by an AI workflow and reviewed by an accountable human, Nicolette Rankin of Lesson of the Day PBC (“the studio”, “we”). Each offer’s page states what the deliverable contains, its delivery window and its price. That page is part of these terms.

2. What a purchase is not

Nobody is sold access to an AI system, a seat, a login, a chat, or a share of any account. The studio does not resell any third party’s service. You receive files and a private page, nothing more and nothing less.

3. Ownership

Once a deliverable is released to you, you own it. The models that produce the work are run under their provider’s terms, which assign the output to the account holder (the studio); the studio assigns that output to you on release. The studio keeps its methods, templates, prompts and workflow, and may reuse them for other customers. Your data, brief and files are not reused for anyone else.

4. Not advice

Deliverables are business analysis or software. They are not legal, tax, accounting, medical, insurance, employment, securities or investment advice, and the studio is not licensed to give any of those. Act on them with your own judgment and your own advisers. Estimates are labelled as estimates; probabilities are the workflow’s, not guarantees.

5. The studio may decline

Any brief may be declined — illegal, deceptive, high-risk regulated under the model provider’s usage policy, or out of scope — and is then refunded in full with a sentence saying why. A declined brief is not a verdict on you.

6. Delivery, verification, release

Every deliverable passes an adversarial verifier before release. A deliverable that fails is never released; you are refunded in full and told why. Delivery windows run from the moment you submit the intake form, not from payment. Intake links expire after 14 days; an expired intake is refunded in full on request. Release is a human act; you receive one email with the private page, the PDF, the files, a receipt line and a delete-my-data link.

7. Refunds

The refund rules are on the Refunds page and are part of these terms. Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. The studio never creates a charge outside of Stripe Checkout or a Stripe subscription you started.

8. Subscriptions

Your Analyst renews monthly through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time from your archive page or by email; no proration, no lock-in. The launch price is locked for the first ten subscribers for as long as their subscription stays active without interruption.

9. Quotes and deposits

Builds larger than entry scope are quoted in writing within 24 hours of intake. A 50% deposit, paid through a per-quote payment link, is refundable in full until the design is delivered to you.

10. Your responsibilities

Give truthful intake. Do not send credentials, passwords, API keys or other secrets; the studio never asks for them and will delete any it receives. Do not send a third party’s personal data beyond what the brief requires. You are responsible for how you use a deliverable.

11. No exclusivity, no warranty beyond what is written

Nothing here is exclusive to you. Beyond the refund rules and the fix-if-broken period on builds, deliverables are provided as they are. The studio’s total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

12. Where your data lives

• Orders, intake and job records: a Cloudflare D1 database (studio-db) owned by the studio.
• Deliverables: a private Cloudflare R2 bucket (studio-deliverables), served only through tokenized, no-index URLs you receive by email.
• Job folders on the studio’s machine are purged 30 days after release.
• Payment data: held by Stripe; the studio never sees your card number.
• Email: sent through Resend from studio@curiouskelly.com; replies go to the accountable human.
• Hosting: Cloudflare.
• Processing: your brief and files are processed by Anthropic’s models under Anthropic’s terms. No customer data is used to train any model; the studio’s account training opt-out is on.

13. Governing law

California, USA. Disputes go first to an email, then to the small-claims or state courts of California.

14. Changes

These terms may change; the effective date at the top moves when they do. An order is governed by the terms in force when it was placed.
